According to Stewart Lincoln, the local Ira historian, the house was built by his father, Arthur Lincoln, in 1912, and it has undergone a few changes in appearance since that time. The ell and rear shed were later additions, and the front porch was enclosed later as well.

Ella Mehuron Lincoln with Hallie Lincoln. Hallie was born in Ira. They were married Jan. 12, 1918 so this was around their 45th wedding anniversary, April 28, 1973. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and as a mechanic.
