Purpose and Mission
1. The Ira Historical Society was founded in 2016 as a not-for profit, private educational organization whose activites are dedicated exclusively to perpetuating the history and culture of Ira, Vermont.
2. The mission of the Society is:
To foster deeper understanding and appreciation for the Town of Ira's hisotry;
To stimulate and encourage the collection, preservation, and interpretation of Ira's history through research on various aspects of Ira's history, a collection of artifacts, public programs, WEB site, newsletters and other related historical activities;
To cooperate with appropriate individuals, organizations, and institutions in activities that will promote and sustain a general interest in our history;
And to accept donations of money, real estate, or property for the above purposes.
Membership
You can become a member of the Ira Historical Society at one of the following levels:
Individual membership - $10/year
Family membership - $15/year
